Report Of Respiration In Plants
"Use Respirometer"
1) Objective
To know the process of respiration in plants
2) Tools and Materials
·
Cotton
·
Playdough/Was
·
NaOH/KOH
·
Respirometer
·
Pippette
·
Food Dyes
·
Plants (pacar air)
3) Procedure
1. Enter the NaOH treated cotton into
the tube respirometer with the leaves of plants that want to test.
2. Close the connection between
the tube respirometer with a playdough.
3. Enter the water that has been mixed food coloring at the
tip of the respirometer; just a few.
4. Turn on
the stopwatch simultaneously with complete inclusion
of colored liquid.
5. Wait until
the fluid moves and observe the time.
6. Record
the time required for liquid reaches a certain
distance.
7. Replace with other plant organs such
as roots, stems and flowers.
8. Cotton and NaOH should be replaced if you
want to replace the organ.

5) Conclusion
1. The process of respiration are product CO2 (carbondioxide)
and H2O
2. Based on this experiment, Organ that fastest
in movement of dilution is root
3. Speed of movement dilution based on several
things like age, size, light and freshness of organ
6) Discussion
Pacar
air conducting the respiration process to get the energy by entangling oxygen (O2)
and product carbondioxide (CO2), water (H2O) and some enery. At this
exsperiment, used a respirometer, this tool is to measuring the amount of
oxygen needed in respiration process. In respirometer
tube, are put down a cotton by given NaOH. NaOH are used to fastening
carbondioxide. In this experiment, we testing the leaf, flower, root and stem
of pacar air plant and the faster movement is root organ.
