Report Of Photosyntesis Experiment "Sach"
1) Objective
To
find out about and recognize the process of photosynthesis
2) Tools and Materials
- Tripod and Busen burner
- Beaker Glass
- Reaction Tube
- Saucher or bowl
- Tweezers
- An iodine solution or lugol’s solution
- Alumunium foil
- Cassava plant
- Alcohol 70 %
3) Procedure
1. At Sunday in the morning, cover both sides of a piece of a
cassava leaf with alumunium foil, the others leaf is will be left open. Let the
sun shine one those leaves; pick up the leaves a short time before you do the
experiment.
2. Open the alumunium foil that
covers the leaf, then cut the leaf. Also cut a piece of uncovered leaf.
3. Insert 2 pieces of leaf into
the hot water until they wither, then lift them.
4. Insert 2 pieces of leaf into
reaction tube filled with alcohol. (1 leaf, 1 reaction tube)
5. The tube then inserted into a
beaker filled with boiling water. In order to keep the water boiling, put on
the Busen burner. Change the alcohol when the color is green.
6. Lift and dry the leaves with a
tissue. Put them on a saucher; drop in iodine.
7. Observe the different between 2
leaves them.
